About the Artist

Derek Goldthorne

Born October 22, 1977 in El Toro, California, Derek Goldthorne served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a prison guard in Soledad before discovering his passion for writing fantasy novels. Unfortunately, the publishing world, being ruled by douchebags and ignorami, has failed to appreciate the genius of Mr. Goldthorne’s vision and thus his novel’s remain to this day tragically unpublished. This will all change later this year when Mr. Goldthorne — unbowed, unbent, unbroken! — will self-publish his first novel, The Black Sword of Daegoroth, as an e-book to be available free for download.

When not forging worlds of magic and adventure from the molten gold of his imagination, Mr. Goldthorne works at Noah’s Bagels in Concord, California. He is currently single.
